TFL CRM

A logistics dispatch CRM with a live fleet map, geofenced auto-alerts to drivers, and route optimisation for a 24/7 UK haulage operation.

// outcome

Live fleet visibility · automated driver dispatch

The challenge

Transit Fleet ran haulage, van deliveries, and multi-drop distribution by phone and spreadsheet. Dispatchers had no live view of where vehicles were, drivers were briefed by call, and route changes, ETAs, and proof of delivery were all tracked manually. It could not scale with a nationwide, round-the-clock operation.

What I built

I built an ASP.NET Core fleet platform that ingests live GPS/telematics from the vehicles and streams it to a real-time admin map (SignalR + Google Maps) showing every vehicle's position, assigned route, and ETA. A geofencing engine fires automatic messages to drivers based on location: arrival at pickup and drop zones, next-stop instructions, and route changes pushed over SMS (Twilio) and the driver app. On top of that: job and load management, multi-drop route optimisation with backload matching to cut empty miles, website quote and booking forms that drop straight into the CRM, digital proof-of-delivery capture, driver-hours and compliance tracking, and role-based dashboards for dispatchers, drivers, and management.

The result

Dispatchers get one live map of the whole fleet, drivers are messaged automatically as they reach each location instead of being phoned, and routes are optimised end to end, turning manual coordination into an automated, auditable system across a 24/7 UK operation.
